TJ Garcia is a 3 year old boy who is the son of, Desiree, one of the dedicated staff members of Senior Serve.  Not long after his 3rd birthday on August 8th TJ began to get very sick.  His parents took him to the doctor and it is there that they found a tumor the size of a golf ball on his brain.  It has been an immediate and heart wrenching life change for the Garcia Family.  This began a parent’s worse fears come true. 

TJ was immediately flown, by helicopter, to the Valley Children’s Hospital near Fresno and then transferred to a hospital in San Francisco, where the Garcia family now lives.  On that single day their family was taken from their jobs and their families. The high spirits of this family is astounding. Desiree repeats over and over again that “everything happens for a reason”.  They are holding on to hope and the prayers of others to make it through day by day.
